Hello From Sakuya Isawa!

Hi, My name is Sakuya Isawa.
I was born on 21 June 1993. So I'm sixteen and a first-year student of Sapporo Asahigaoka High School in Japan.
I like sports. What is particularly favorite is soccer. I started playing soccer eight years old. I usually play soccer on a holiday.I want to be a world-famous soccer player and a dentist.
Do you remember me? I had a very good time in this summer. But I couldn't speak English well so I couldn't express my feeling well. I want to talk with you when I go to Atlanta. Now I'm trying hard to study English.
I'm looking forward to seeing you!

Hello from the Morrisett Family

We loved our trip to Japan this summer! Andrew enjoyed his experience at Asahigaoka High School in Sapporo and staying with Tom Shirahata and his family. Andrew felt very comfortable and welcomed in their home. We are looking forward to having Tom stay with us in January along with our other son, Dan(22), who will be home from college.
As a family, we toured Tokyo for four days, then Andrew joined the HIES group. The three of us then visited Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, and Hiroshima. We were impressed with the cleanliness of each city and how everyone was very respectful and welcoming. The Sumo Wrestling Tournament in Nagoya was an exciting and interesting Japanese sport! The whole trip was just wonderful and we hope to visit Japan again.
We hope to make this experience as rewarding for Tom and the other students as they did for Andrew and the HIES group!

Hello from CJ!

Hey everyone! My name is CJ James and I am so excited for everyone to come! I will be hosting Heidi Goetz. My family includes my mom, Brenda, my dad, Byron, my brother, Stephen (14), my older brother, Derrick (25), and me (17). My family and I are so happy that everyone is coming. It will be a great time and we will have much fun.
I have been twice to Japan. My first time was in November, during Asahigaoka's 50th Anniversary. Tiffany Tang and I played violin and piano in the school concert. My second time was this summer through the school exchange program. We went to Tokyo and Sapporo, which was amazing! I think that I enjoyed being at Asahigaoka the most, because I love the people there! I am looking forward to everyone coming!

Bill Cangelosi: Hello From Atlanta

Hey everyone. I'm Bill Cangelosi and I am very excited to be hosting Risa Yonezu this winter. I went to Sapporo with the exchange group this summer and fell in love with Japan. I hope that the students and teachers from Japan all have this same experience in Atlanta. I am currently studying Japanese on my own so that I can better communicate with everyone. I have 1 sister, named Lauren. My dad is called Bill. My mom is called Joanna (picture of family to be added later). I am the youngest child in my family. We can't wait for everyone to come. I am already preparing for when ya'll come to Atlanta on January 4 (1月 4日).

I want to thank everyone that helped me and made my experience in Japan amazing. A special thanks to the Yonezu family for their amazing hospitality. I hope that I can be as hospitable. I miss everyone and I cannot wait until everyone comes =). From when I posted this blog there were 95 days until everyone comes! One week is too short but we will all remember it forever.

Hello my friends in Atlanta. My name is Kiyo Hayashi. I'm an English teacher at Asahigaoka and in charge of HIES & Asahigaoka exchange program. I visited HIES with 10 students in 2008. We had a wonderful time and never forget your hospitality.
The lilac tree on these pictures is the one given by HIES as a token of our friendship when we invited two teachers and two students to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of our school. Our friendship is growing steadily like the liac tree.
Gatoux sensei, thank you very much for setting up the bog. I hope everyone use this blog and share some information and new ideas with each other.
